Maui's only Radio Control Modelers Club flying at Pu'unene Airfield for over 30 Years.
About the Club
The Maui Radio Control Modelers are a non-profit organization devoted to the education of the community about aviation and specifically to teach and promote the building and flying of radio control models of aircraft. The Maui R.C. Modelers has been pursuing this goal at the Pu'unene Airfield for over 30 years.
Because our field is inside the Maui Raceway Park we are subject to County of Maui Park rules. Thisincludes current AMA membership and Club membership for field usage.
On occasion, we cannot fly due to activity/events at our neighbors’ areas (drags/carts/motorcycles, etc.)
Busy Days
We are a very active club and fly virtually seven days a week. Our busiest times are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 8am and noon.
Our Site
Members enjoy an asphalt runway that is over 1,000 feet long and 600 feet wide, and a covered pit area with ample setup stands.
Try it Out
Demonstrations, workshops, and hands on flight training are offered throughout the year, and we provide training for beginners using our aircraft or theirs.
Amenities
Amenities include a large parking area, a barbecue pit, picnic tables, and a porter potty. Glow fuel is available for purchase.
